Install Lynx in your browser

Works in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc (same steps below) — and in Firefox (see the Firefox note at the bottom). Takes about 3 minutes. You’ll need your personal activation token (starts with usr_). Keep it private — it signs you in.

During the pilot Lynx installs as an unpacked extension (developer mode). That’s normal and safe for an internal team — the code runs only on your machine. For the public launch Lynx moves to the Chrome Web Store (one-click, auto-updating).

Unzip the Lynx folder

Save the downloaded Lynx.zip somewhere permanent (e.g. Documents — not a temporary or cloud-only folder), then unzip it. You’ll get a folder named lynx-extension.

Open your browser’s extensions page

Paste the address for your browser and press Enter: chrome://extensions (Chrome/Arc) · edge://extensions · brave://extensions · opera://extensions · vivaldi://extensions. Turn on Developer mode (toggle, usually top-right).

Load Lynx

Click Load unpacked → select the unzipped lynx-extension folder → confirm. Lynx appears in your extensions list. Click the puzzle-piece icon in Chrome’s toolbar and pin Lynx 📌 so it’s always one click away.

Activate with your token

Click the Lynx icon → the setup page opens. Follow the short wizard and, at step 3, paste your usr_… token and your work email. Your token is stored locally in your browser only — never share it.

Didn’t get a token? Ask your Lynx admin to add you (Dashboard → Team → Invite). Tokens are shown once; if you lose it, they can rotate a new one.

Go to LinkedIn

Open linkedin.com/feed. A small Lynx overlay appears and quietly captures relevant profiles from content you actually view. New leads show up in your dashboard in real time. That’s it — you’re live.

Troubleshooting

No overlay on LinkedIn? Refresh the LinkedIn tab once after installing. If it’s still missing, reopen chrome://extensions and click the reload ↻ icon on the Lynx card.
“Token rejected”? Reopen the Lynx setup page and re-paste your token — check there’s no trailing space. If it persists, your admin can rotate a fresh token.
Nothing captured? Lynx only captures what you actually scroll past — it never bulk-scrapes. Browse your feed normally and leads accumulate.
After a Lynx update: if we send a new ZIP, remove the old Lynx in chrome://extensions, unzip the new folder, and Load unpacked again. Your token stays saved.

Using Firefox?

Lynx runs in Firefox too (121+), with two extra quirks during the pilot:

Load it via about:debugging → This Firefox → Load Temporary Add-on → pick manifest.json inside the unzipped folder. Temporary means it unloads when Firefox restarts — reload it the same way. (A permanently signed Firefox build comes with the public launch.)
Firefox asks separately for site access: go to about:addons → Lynx → Permissions → allow access to linkedin.com.
